Velvet
Noir editorial fragrance system.
Velvet is a private atelier perfumery for collectors, an editorial noir where Cormorant Garamond in champagne italics on warm near-black is the entire hero, the typographic-hero preset with a faint Roman-numeral ornament drifting in the corner. The palette is bone, taupe, and champagne; light mode shifts the accent to bronze on bone. There is no product shot because the landing sets a room rather than selling a bottle. Editions of forty, signed by hand, eight months per chapter.
Hushed, late-night confidence. Velvet is a private atelier perfumery for collectors; the landing doesn't sell a bottle, it sets a room. The identity is editorial rather than commercial: a quiet display serif, a champagne accent, hairline rules, Roman numerals, and copy that reads like an atelier notebook.
Anatomy
Fictional noir editorial fragrance house. The hero has no product shot; a Cormorant Garamond display in champagne italics on near-black IS the hero, with a faint Roman-numeral ornament drifting in the corner. Proves the typographic-hero preset: medium: surface (warm-noir) + subject: typography + relation: flat. Editorial typography alone carries the identity.
Hero composition
a near-black warm-noir canvas with a single Cormorant Garamond display headline, light weight 300, with one italic word in champagne. A short hairline rule and uppercase wide-tracked eyebrow label sit above. Below, a four-column meta strip (Founded / Edition / Compositions / Ateliers) separated by hairlines uses display-serif numerals with italic accents. A faint Roman-numeral ornament (the letter N) sits in the top-right corner at ~3.5% opacity as a ghosted serif mark. No product shot. No model. The typography is the hero.

- Scents composed for the unrepeated evening.
- Each composition begins with a place. Then a memory of weather. Then the smallest possible cast of materials.
- We finish a perfume only when nothing further can be removed without losing the room it was built for.
- A perfume is finished the moment a single drop says everything the room needed.
- Slow work, by hand, in three movements.
- Forty per chapter, never more.
