kiln

Ceramic studio / fired earth (fictional) system.

Kiln is the warm ceramic side of a maker community. Glazed terracotta, brick-wall serifs, kiln-fired off-white.

For the fired, not the fragile. kiln treats a studio practice as a long memory of heat — climb rates, reduction windows, peak holds, the slow descent. The identity is materials-honest: warm iron darks, terracotta light, a serif that has been opsz-tuned to feel cast rather than typeset, and grit overlays that read as ash rather than chrome.

Anatomy

Fictional studio journal for ceramicists, glassblowers, and makers who work at temperature. Dark fired-earth identity built on iron #1C1410 with a molten terracotta accent and a warm clay light mode. The hero is the firing log itself — a mono-coded studio record under a molten glow that pours in from the bottom-right corner like a kiln door cracked open.
